| The Poplar Forest restoration advisory panel agreed to a step in the restoration of Jefferson's terras roof that Jefferson himself should have done, but didn't. This step was the installation of a rubber membrane over the shingles to protect them and the gutter and ridge joists from rotting. This additional measure was done to protect the extensive effort put into this state of the art restoration of Jefferson's design.
