Join Poplar Forest as we celebrate Women’s History Month by exploring the generations of women who called Poplar Forest home. From Martha Jefferson, from whom Jefferson obtained the property, to Hannah and Cate, two enslaved women owned by Jefferson, to Sally Watts, the last matriarch to live in the house, hear stories of everyday life from a diverse collection of women. Tours are included with the price of admission and leave at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Reservations are recommended and can be made below or by calling the Museum Shop at (434) 534-8120.
