Among his many accomplishments, Thomas Jefferson is considered to be one of America’s first astronomers. Join Trish Cerulli, MSc., Outreach Coordinator for Belk Astronomical Observatory at the Claytor Nature Study Center at the University of Lynchburg, on Jefferson’s south lawn for an illuminating look at the night sky. Reservations are required as tickets are limited due to COVID-19 concerns. Admission is $15 per person.
Enjoy a grazing box provided by Purple Door Catering! Each box includes seasonal vegetables, fresh fruits, chef-inspired dips, breads and crackers for $10. Bring a blanket, order a grazing box and turn Stargazing into a socially-distanced night out! Note: Grazing box orders must be in by Sept. 18th.
